The Cactus and Succulent Society of Alberta was established in 1997 by a group of people sharing an interest in these odd and unusual plants.
We meet at least four times a year – usually on Sundays – to exchange information on how to propagate, grow and take care of cacti and succulents.
We organize various activities like our annual plant sale at the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton as well as a photo contest and occasional outings to visit local collectors or areas of the province where cacti are grown.
The society publishes the Cereusly Speaking newsletter. The newsletter comes out four times a year: in January, April, July, and October. Electronic and print versions are distributed to the society’s members. Beginning this year we will be publishing back issues on our Newsletter page.
